Muchacho
Photography by Gabriella LePage
This is a revamped version of Muchacho taking over the full space of a renovated train depot. Located adjacent to the Atlanta Beltline, it has extensive use of outdoor space, with large garage doors connecting the interior with the exterior. The original building’s dividing wall was opened up to connect the expansive roof and windows throughout. The winding bar acts as service counter and home to a new line of cocktails, tacos, burritos and bowls, offered from early morning to late late night. The hanging plants mimic the bar below, filling the space and creating more connection to the outdoors. White wood, concrete bars and golden light fixtures extend throughout the space.
The project was a collaboration with Electric Hospitality and Atelier Davis creating a design that captures a surf/party/retro/weird atmosphere.
