Chrome Yellow

Photography by Aaron Schorch

Chrome Yellow is a coffee shop and clothing/drygoods store in a renovated warehouse on Edgewood Avenue. The design uses a simple stud wall as a divider between the coffee and retail space allowing flexibility on how the two spaces blend. There are a series of skylights bringing natural light into the retail space and a curved tile wall in the restroom. This building is actually the space where NO Architecture was founded in 2008, long before it got renovated into Chrome Yellow. The skylights were originally placed for our client Welborn Henson here in its founded location.
